MS-PF001 Portable Lung Spirometer Peak Flow Meter
This peak velocity meter is an instrument for measuring expiratory flow. It is mainly suitable for asthma patients
to measure the expiratory flow value at home under the guidance of a doctor. You can also ask the doctor to frequently check whether the expiratory flow record is correct and whether the estimated value needs to be corrected.
If you find that the expiratory flow value is developing in the direction of worsening of the condition, please contact the doctor immediately for timely treatment.
Operating Guide
1.Insert the mouthpiece into the meter, if not already-fitted
2.Ensure the pointer is set at Zero
3.Stand up if possible.Take a deep breath,place the Peak-Flow Meter in the mouth and hold horizontally,closingthe lips around
the mouthpiece, then blow as hard and as fast you can.
4.Note the number on the scale indicated by the pointer.
5.Retum the pointer to zero and repeat the procedure-twice-more to obtain three readings
6.Mark the highest of the three readings on the chart.
7.Properly keep the meter after use.
Method of Setting Peak Flow Partitions
1. Determine with your doctor the optimal- peak flow value.
2. Set the green and yellow pointer at 80% of your optimal peak flow value.
3. Set the red and-yellow pointer at 60% of your optimal peak flow value.
